Empower Yourself With Therapy Services in Brooklyn Park, MN

At Lewis Family Wellness Center, we offer faith-based mother-daughter group therapy designed to help women heal from deep wounds caused by difficult maternal relationships. In fact, many women carry unspoken pain from their past that shapes how they see themselves and interact with their loved ones.

Our mother-daughter group therapy classes offer a safe and supportive space where women can begin to heal from familial wounds, process their experiences, and receive both emotional and spiritual support.

Through a combination of discussions and exercises, participants learn practical skills to overcome barriers, reclaim their voice, and live with greater peace and purpose.

Duration: 6 weeks

Payment: $325/person (Self-Pay; Insurance not accepted)

The Path to Healthy Relationships Starts With Healing the Mother Wound

Mother wounds can show up in adulthood as low self-esteem, difficulty trusting other women, people-pleasing, boundary issues, or unresolved anger and shame. These struggles are often rooted in early childhood experiences, such as a mother being emotionally unavailable, overly critical, controlling, or neglectful.

In our group, women are invited to explore these patterns in a compassionate setting, as they reflect on the past and learn how to identify unhealthy beliefs, replace lies with biblical truths, and begin rewriting their stories with hope and healing.

Safe & Supportive Mother Daughter Group Therapy

At Lewis Family Wellness Center, our approach to mother-daughter group therapy is both trauma-informed and faith-driven. We recognize that healing mother wounds requires courage, vulnerability, and guidance.

Here’s how our facilitators create a nonjudgmental, compassionate environment where participants can feel safe to share and grow:

  • Guided group discussions to process personal experiences and challenges.

  • Evidence-based therapy tools for managing emotions and reframing beliefs.

  • Biblical reflection to anchor healing in God’s truth.

  • Practical skills to set boundaries, strengthen identity, and build healthier relationships.

Every therapy class we offer is built upon growth, offering women a clear path forward as they work toward wholeness and connection.

Mother Daughter Counseling Tailored to Your Relationship

We know every woman’s experience with her mother is unique. That’s why our Healing the Mother Wound group classes combine clinical insight with spiritual truth to create a holistic path toward recovery.

Our group therapy sessions help participants:

Identify Wounds & Triggers

Our group therapy counselors will help you recognize how past mother-daughter dynamics influence all of your present emotions, beliefs, and relationships, as well as increase your self-awareness of such triggers moving forward.

Explore Root Causes

Through curated discourse and exercises, our classes will help you have a better understanding of how generational trauma, unmet needs, or dysfunctional family patterns shaped your sense of self.

Create Paths to Process & Progress

Every pathway toward progress is different for each person. That’s why we engage in a variety of exercises and reflections that encourage self-awareness, forgiveness, and personal growth.
